We are a family farm that breeds and preserves rare and heritage chickens for future generations. A difficult but rewarding task. Many dedicated hours of research, communication, breeding, litigation, and mitigation go into this extraordinary work. Some ongoing projects can take years of planning and organization to finally become a reality.
For the city folk who desires the perfect backyard chicken, we can help you out. We have several birds we are able to distinguish the gender upon hatching. This feature is known as auto sexing.
We practice bio security and we test our birds on a regular basis in accordance with the WA National Poultry Improvement Plan. This assures no major issues occur through negligence. Although no testing is required in Canada, we have chosen to adopt the WA NPIP program since Washington is the closest State to our Province. Read more>
We are a traditional family farm. In addition to our chickens, chicks and hatching eggs for sale, we also offer fresh heirloom vegetables, pet-related products, natural herbal remedies, and seeds. We also have our educational rent-an-incubator for schools. You can find us in beautiful Delta, BC and we ship live birds Canada wide. Delta's coat of arms genuinely reflects how we feel about our water, earth, and sky: "Ours to preserve by hand and heart." Welcome to Grade Eh Farms!

If you are located in the Lower Mainland and have interest in growing meat birds, we are looking for small growers to partner with in producing artisanal pastured chicken. We can provide the chicks for little or no cost and Matthew can come up and teach you the finer points of raising pastured chicken for meat.
